Ann Volkwein is a Managing Partner and CMO of Terra Group Holdings, Founder of Terra Organics and a Co-Founder of Terra Conservation Initiative. 

Her experience spans the worlds of marketing, brand development, recipe development, publishing, and online and broadcast media, with an eye to perfecting an authentic visual and editorial voice. She has authored or co-authored 20 cookbook titles and five New York Times bestsellers. Clients have ranged from top chefs to biodynamic farmers and corporations such as Cooking.com, Target and ReganArts/Phaidon. 

Previous roles include Director of Sales, Marketing and Business Development at AOL CityGuide, Culinary Producer and New Media Producer at the Food Network, Assistant Editor at HarperCollins Publishers as well as Assistant Development Director for the Smithsonian’s National Design Museum.

She is a member of the Explorers Club where she has served as Secretary to the Board, on the Conservation and Annual Dinner Committees, co-head of the Silent Auction, as well as Chair of the Lowell Thomas Awards. She has a passion for cultural anthropology and wildlife conservation and seeks the preservation of our natural world through nourishing, regenerative methods via sustainable technological and cooperative solutions.


Remer Y. Lane, III, a native of Savannah, GA, has 30+ years and a lifetime of experience in international trade; finance; agribusiness and food; and maritime shipping. He has worked and traveled in over 80 countries focusing primarily on developing and commercializing sustainable and regenerative solutions that address profitability, environmental, social and wildlife issues. 

He is President of Terra Organics and a managing partner in Terra Group Holdings working across the platforms in support of Conservation, Sustainable Technologies and Organics. He is also a partner in Fingalee Company, a US government sub-contractor in foreign affairs serving the U.S. Department of State, USAID, USDA, and the U.S. Department of Commerce. 

Previously, he has held positions with Heritage Capital Group/Oaklins as a Principal; Senior Technical Specialist/Chief of Party with Winrock International; Vice-President for Louis Dreyfus Commodities; 9-years with Booz Allen Hamilton based in Belgrade, Serbia; and CFO / General Manager for Navigator Gas Shipping. 

Throughout his career, he has incorporated environmental and wildlife conservation into his work advocating that there must be synergistic relationships for there to be regenerative and sustainable solutions to be anchored by commercial actions.
